Celebration High Fire Glazes - Lead Free (Pint Liquid) (Suitable for safe spray application) (Opaque)
Cone 5. AMACO® Celebration Glazes are a beautiful group of bright and pastel colors for stoneware that are as colorful as earthenware glazes.
These glazes are opaque and can be applied over AMACO® 65M, 48M, 27M, 77M and 58M clays. Bisque fire the clay to Cone 04, then glaze and fire to maturing temperature at Cone 5. The final surface appearance will change depending on the clay body on which they are applied.
These glazes are great when used in contrasting colors, next to or on top of each other. Furthermore, excellent results have been achieved when used over the HF or PC series glazes. Therefore, don?t restrict yourself to the 18 colors in this series. Experiment with them in different combinations and increase your choice of color and texture. These glazes are great to produce colorful utilitarian ware.

TH-1 Texturizer pint liquid 37026G
Superposition (overlaying of glazing) is very common practice among potters and is done either by brushing one glaze over another on a portion of the ceramic piece or by partial dipping. When superposition is done on part of a ceramic piece, the rest of the piece is left exposed. This produces variations in color, texture and depth which simulates reduction glazes in an electric kiln, while retaining a clean atmosphere and without the trouble of reducing or reaching Cone 10 temperatures.
TH-1 is a rutile base texturizer. In superposition with other glazes it tends to produce a yellowish/orange crystal-type texture. It will yield excellent results with most AMACO® HF Series glazes when applied over or under the glazes. As results vary from glaze to glaze, be sure to fire a test sample first.
Picture shows TH-1 over HF-21 (left) and under HF-21 (right).
